Messaging users in channel without asking first is a major no no.
Spamming (advertising) for another channel or service WILL get you kickbanned.
Flooding the channel (repeating text) will trigger our bots flood protection script and will earn you a quick kick. The same goes
for typing in all CAPS.
#Family_Chat IS NOT a pickup channel. Trying to take our users home for the night will NOT be tolerated.
#Family_Chat DOES NOT allow warez or porn, this includes MP3 trading.
We do get underagers in channel, be sure you know who you're talking to before you start something that could have you in jail.
Knowingly sending out viruses or files infected with trojans will earn you an immediate ban from the channel.
Racism will absolutely not be tolerated in channel. Treat others the way you wish to be treated.

The channel operators are always on the lookout for abuse and they will quickly put a stop to it by first warning, then kicking (and if neceassary), banning any violators. However, ops do not get involved in personal disputes between members and will not tolerate mud-slinging between the two parties in open channel. Both parties will be asked to take their argument to a private message screen. Your best defense against a frustrating, go-nowhere, situation is to use the /ignore or the /silence commands.
